Barbara Thrasher Wood River Womens Foundation Idaho

Barbara is a founder and past President of the Board of the Wood River Women’s Foundation. Coming from Seattle, Barbara was actively involved in the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center Development Board where she began a summer program to bring scientists to Sun Valley for a yearly forum to engage the community in their cancer center and the research vital to a cure. She has been a member of the development committee of the Blaine County Recreation District where she founded the Harriman Tea to fund the summer trails endowment and helped to create the idea of a premium gold pass to fund the trails. She served for 12 years on the Wood River Land Trust Board. In 2004 Barbara founded the Wood River Women’s Foundation with Jo Murray. Barbara has served on the Grants, Membership and Events committees.
