the wood river WOMEN’S foundation

Wood River Women’s Foundation (WRWF) is a strong and inclusive collective of informed women who together support a wide-range of nonprofit work in Blaine County. Despite the small size of our beloved Wood River Valley community, we are one of the largest women’s collective giving organizations in the United States. More than 300 women are members and active participants in our work, including both full-time and part-time residents.

There are variety of ways to partner with WRWF

We welcome the opportunity to talk with you about sponsorship opportunities. Please contact Karen de Saint Phalle, at wrwfsponsorship@gmail.com

Partnership Invitation

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, WRWF funds its operations with contributions. While our financial support primarily comes from our membership, corporate sponsorships help us expand the reach of our programming into the broader community. In addition to our grant-making activities, WRWF produces an annual summer grant awards celebration to support philanthropy and honor our grantees, and an annual winter educational forum to further our mission of building philanthropic leaders. Both events include guests, nonprofit leaders, and members of the public.

Grant Awards Celebration - Summer

The summer grantee celebration is our largest event of the year and is both our Annual Meeting and a celebration of our philanthropic work. At this event we recognize the nonprofits that will be awarded grants in each respective year. The audience includes WRWF members and their guests as well as staff and board leaders from grantee organizations. The generosity of sponsorship support allows us to offer this event to representatives of our grantees at no charge.

Expected Attendance: 250 Foundation members including business, community, philanthropic and nonprofit leaders.

Winter Education Forum

WRWF hosts an annual education event focused on a key element in our mission which is to foster and build philanthropic leaders. In 2018, the event guest speaker was Lukas Haynes, Executive Director of the David Rockefeller Fund. The 2019 event featured Teresa Younger, President & CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women. From 2020 – 2023, the WRWF has convened a panel of Blaine County nonprofit leaders to present and discuss “The State of the Valley”. These education events drew more than 150 WRWF members, nonprofit directors, and community leaders, and featured media coverage in The Idaho Mountain Express, Eye on Sun Valley and in a nationally broadcast live radio interview on KDPI.
