KETCHUM, IDAHO – The Wood River Women’s Foundation (WRWF) is pleased to announce the organization will begin accepting online 2019 Grant Applications on October 1, 2018. The WRWF accepts grant applications in the areas of Arts, Education, Environment, Health, Recreation, and Social Services, with grants awarded in amounts from $5,000 to $35,000. As the WRWF is committed to affording each applying non-profit an equal opportunity, all non-profits considering submitting an application are invited to an informational meeting on Thursday, October 11, 2018, 9:00 AM, at The Community Library in Ketchum. At this meeting, representatives of the WRWF Grants Committee will answer questions about the new online process and criteria of their organization. “This is the first year of doing our application process online” Gina Wolcott, WRWF Grants chair said, “It is our hope and intent to make applying for our grants significantly easier for non-profits”. In 2018 the WRWF awarded grant monies totaling more than $278,000 to 16 local non-profits. Grant Committee members screened more than 30 applications, visited applicant sites and heard presentations describing the many projects that will benefit the Wood River Valley Community, with the entire membership voting on the final grant awards. In the past 13 years, the WRWF have granted more than $2.3 million to non-profits serving Blaine county residents. The Wood River Women’s Foundation mission is to inspire and educate women to become leaders in philanthropy and bring significant, positive change to the community by pooling and distributing its members’ resources.
