Wood River Women’s Foundation inspires and educates women to become leaders in philanthropy. We encourage and create significant positive change in our community through pooled grant-making.

2022 grantees

our story

What began as a conversation between two women on a Sun Valley, Idaho chairlift in 2005 has transformed into a thriving, vital resource for women and nonprofit organizations of the Wood River Valley. Soon after that lift ride, founders Barbara Thrasher and Jo Murray held a gathering where they and several other interested women talked about how they could make a powerful difference in the community Together, they realized that by giving collectively their individual impact would be greatly amplified.

2024 Grant Cycle

The submission period for the 2024 grant cycle concluded on January 26, 2024, at midnight.

The Wood River Women’s Foundation will host virtual presentations by nonprofit finalists on March 20, 2024, from noon to 4:00 pm via Zoom.
